In this day and age...you know, the one where famous "music television" channels don't actually play music videos...there are still bands releasing amazing videos daily that deserve attention and often break boundaries. Last year Fall Out Boy made a video for every single song off of their 'Save Rock n' Roll' album, that they titled The Youngblood Chronicles. Each video advanced the main story from song to song until the very end and featured guest stars who performed on the album including Elton John, Courtney Love, Foxes, & Tommy Lee. It was epic. If you haven't watched them, check out the entire movie here: http://youtu.be/zZyWxbojYH8
This year, we had some equally amazing efforts. In fact, each of the artists who made our Top 5 released more than one amazing video this year, so do yourself a favor and check out more of their videos on YouTube after you watch these...
Our Top 5 favorite videos from 2014!
5. Tove Lo - Habits
* also check out the video for "Not On Drugs".
4. The Kooks - Around Town
* also check out the video for "Bad Habit".
3. Annie Stela - Love Me Still
*also check out the video for "Any Time, Any Day".
2. Ed Sheeran - Thinking Out Loud
*also check out the videos for "Don't" and "Sing".
1. OK Go - The Writing's On The Wall
*also check out "I Won't Let You Down".
Once again, when it comes to music videos, OkGo seem to rule the internet. What's even more amazing, though becoming more common, is that they do it on their own with no major label money. Impressive for sure. But then, as we mentioned earlier, all five of these artists are certainly making waves both auditorially and visually.
